Lily provides sensitive classical dressage training for horse and rider. Her goal is to develop the horse through relaxation with a positive frame of mind.
Lily Wilson brings a diverse riding experience to Irish Glen Acres Farm. With roots in eventing, she competed through the Preliminary Level while participating in the United States Pony Club educational program.
Lily trained with Gwen Blake for seven years and spent nearly three years as her assistant trainer. During this time Lily acquired an immense amount of skill and knowledge. She rode everything from young untrained horses to F.E.I school masters. As a result of her hard work, she qualified for the 2001 Cosequin Team.
In 2006 Lily spent nearly a year training and showing in the Netherlands. During this time she had the opportunity to train truly great horses and to see how the European equestrian world operates.
Today, Lily continues to advance her education with instructors Roxanne Christensen and Conrad Schumacher. She is an active competitor, and rides in USDF/USEF Recognized Shows through the F.E.I. levels with scores in the 70% range. In 2009 she won First place in the USDF regional championships. Lily is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist.
Lily is highly motivated, intelligent, and positive in her teaching style. She instructs riders from Training through F.E.I. She is sensitive and enjoys working with and training young prospects and sale horses. At Irish Glen Acres, Lily is pleased to offer flexible instruction and training packages to suit you and your horse.
